take pen to paper and make something beautiful

One of the artists I really liked when I discovered wooster collective was Juan Francisco. Here's some of his work... all done with ballpoint pens. It has an animated feel but everything looks so realistic. Sketches done from ordinary daily life pictures with his friends. Some funny, some extremely sexual. haha So fair warning on that... Enjoy!

 This one is my favorite.

For you, Breezy and Kaitlin!

yo kimb, i will def eat a beignet for you! we haven't gone to get any yet, but i HAVE to before i leave.

dude, this artist is awesome! thanks for the shout out. i love it, thats crazy that he used a ballpoint pen, what the junk. i looked at his website and he has some from a while ago but are painted. and i love that his website is in spanish! boom. he is def. a photo-realist, which is an art that you can't help but be amazed by because of the difficulty. have you heard of chuck close? i think you would like him if you like this guy. he makes huge portraits and uses different ways to create it, like his thumbprint, with fabric, and other things i can't remember, check it http://www.chuckclose.coe.uh.edu/

ok this comment is LONG enough

hope you are having a good spring break! miss you!
